Chakli
Ingredients:
- 2 cups rice flour
- 1 cup urad daal flour
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds (roasted)
- 1 tablespoon thymol seeds (roasted ajwain)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (roasted)
- edible oil for deep frying
- salt to taste
Preparation:
- Mix the flour and add all the other ingredients.
- Melt and cool the ghee. Pour it into the flour mixture and knead into
a soft dough.
- Fill some of the dough in a chakli mould (with a large nozzle).
- Squeeze out spirals onto a sheet of paper.
- Heat oil on a medium flame and deep fry.
