Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 1 cup urad daal flour
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seeds (roasted)
  • 1 tablespoon thymol seeds (roasted ajwain)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (roasted)
  • edible oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste

Preparation:

  • Mix the flour and add all the other ingredients.
  • Melt and cool the ghee. Pour it into the flour mixture and knead into a soft dough.
  • Fill some of the dough in a chakli mould (with a large nozzle).
  • Squeeze out spirals onto a sheet of paper.
  • Heat oil on a medium flame and deep fry.
