Marzipan


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg almonds (blanched)
  • 1/2 kg sugar (powdered)
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • food colour and moulds

Preparation:

  • Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.
  • Mould into desired shapes like stars or Christmas trees or you can roll out the Marzipan into a thick slab and cut into diamond or square shapes.
  • If you're using colours, let the shapes set for at least 3-4 hours before painting.
  • Allow to set at least for a day.
